I think that he's asking where Rowling drew the idea for the prophecy from- I think it's a pretty clear parallel intended between Jesus and Harry Potter- death and resurrection...

It never says that Harry will triumph... it says that they BOTH can't survive... thus we don't know who will win out. And yes, it's prof Trelawney who gives it to Dumbledore at the Hogs Head. But we don't hear about the prophesy until later on in the series... the 5th book?
